This blog is the result of my fascination with the natural world. I started off sharing the stories of my birdwatching adventures around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula. The more I adventured, the more I fell in love with.I became fascinated by bugs. I started wanting to identify lichen and sundew. My love of nature became an obsession.
My adventures focus on the areas around Geelong and the Great Ocean Road; especially ones accessible by public transport. At times, I will separate photos from the same trip into themes.
In 2016, I started to develop chronic migraines. I don’t get them anymore but they impacted on my creativity for several years. Many posts between 2016-2019 are mostly photos with very little commentary.
In 2020, I started getting healthier. I’ve spent the time since then getting my life back and trying to rebuild my online business. This has meant that most of my nature exploring are trips with family, and sometimes just documenting observations from their trips.
