Birthday Walk: Ironbark Basin

June 2, 2015 by Jade Craven Leave a Comment

I did the Ironbark basin walk with Carolyn on my birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a bit rushed, as mum wanted me home by 4.30 and we had southern emu wrens to chase (and dip on.)

There isn’t much I can say about the walk other then I want to do it again so I can savour it properly. It wasn’t too steep. The fungi was magnificent. It wasn’t comparable to some of the other walks, such as melba gully and several of the waterfall ones. I still think it is worth doing if you want to explore the different environments of the surfcoast.
