Cheeky Pelicans Having A Squabble

December 12, 2015 by Jade Craven Leave a Comment

Pelican numbers seem to vary at Balyang. Sometimes, you are lucky if there is one there having a nap. Recently, it has been common to see four or five there.

Usually they are spread out across the nesting boxes or on a perch large enough for their ginormous feet.

I was there recently, photographing my cormorant buddies, when I noticed these two. I rarely see them that close to each other. I was fortunate enough to photograph a quick squabble between the two.

This post has no other purpose other then to highlight how funny it looks 🙂 I’ve been overlooking them in favour of more ‘interesting’ birds. Hmm… maybe that should change?
