Interesting Shells at Pirates Cove

My aunt is kind enough to let my family use her holiday flat when we visit Apollo Bay. But she also shares with us her favourite locations. She took us to a beach that she referred to as Shelly Beach, which was a couple of hundred metres away from Skenes Creek. There is an informal sign in the car park saying it is called Pirates Cove.

It was magnificent, and reminded me of the Shelly Beach Seth and I explored when doing parts of the Great Ocean Walk.

I haven’t tried to identify them; this naturalist has finally realized that trying to identify everything I find is just too time consuming. Seth deserves the credit for finding most of the beautiful shells.
