Little Black Cormorant Chicks near Balyang

February 7, 2016 by Jade Craven Leave a Comment

I have spent 6 weeks, and countless hours, along Princes Bridge monitoring the little black cormorants. I watched them courting. I watched them build their nests. And now, finally, the chicks have hatched.

These photos were taken on the 31st of January. I’ve visited again since then, and even more chicks have hatched.

There are also many young little pied cormorants that are hanging out on trees with the ‘single’ little black cormorants.
