Red Rock Crab
Seth loves fishing. I don’t, I find it icky and feel sorry for the fish. However, many fishing spots tend to have interesting marine critters.
This post shares photos of marine life found under one of the floating pontoons that people fish from. There was a healthy variety of marine life, but nowhere near as prolific as St Helens. I got photos of this area in 2018 using the GoPro, but at that point I wasn’t into sea squirts.
This was the first time I’d visited Apollo Bay since getting the Olympus TG. I was going to see sea squirts!
We did have a lot of luck with the sea squirts. But also found other cool speccies.
Lightbulb Ascidian
The amount of lightbulb ascidians was interesting. It would be fascinating to monitor them throughout a year. They could have similar growth patterns to the ones at St Helens.
Sponge
Red Handed Shrimp
The patterns on this shrimp look different to the ones I’ve seen locally. I’ll have to go through photos.
Bugula dentata
This is the bryozoan that Verco’s Nudibranch eats.
