On Monday, I went to Balyang to see what was going on. I was so excited to see that three of the nests I had been watching had chicks in them! They are very young, I’m guessing up to a week old. All are located in the top right hand corner of the tree.
I only caught one parent feeding. I’ll definitely be going a lot over the coming month to watch the little guys as they grow up.
Finally, these guys learned that it isn’t always fun nesting so close to each other.
If you look in some of the photos, the chicks have opened their eyes. This makes me wonder if they are more then 7 days old. They aren’t really developing any feathers and the red near their beak is still see through. Definitely need to do my research.
