Young Cormorant Grooming

One of the benefits of observing the birds for so long is that you get to observe them during different aspects of their behaviour. Normally, grooming would be boring.

(It’s fascinating to photograph, but less so on a stinking hot day when your water bottle is empty)

It takes on a different, almost comical, tone when the bird is barely over a month old. I will miss these guys.
